Edit Section

The primary area of the Edit section provides commands for authoring parts and products.

Manipulate
Lets you to move the parts.
You can drag the parts directly or use the robot to move them. You can also use the selection filters to identify more clearly the type of geometry when positioning the Robot.

Insert Existing Product/Part
Adds an existing product or part inside the structure.
Select a product, and then select an existing product or part through a search.
Replace by Existing
Replaces an object by an existing object of the same type.
Select an object, and then select an existing object using a search.
Detach
Removes the selected objects from the structure.

Edit Properties
Opens the Properties widget, and displays information about the selected objects in different tabs.
You can edit the properties of the object from the widget.

The available tabs depend on the app the command is launched from, and the type of object that is selected.

Replace by Existing
Replaces an object by an existing object of the same type.
Select an object, and then select an existing object using a search.


Replace by Latest Revision
Replaces an object by its latest revision (if any), to update your structure with the latest modification.
Select one or several products (except the root) and parts before launching this command.


Replace by Revision
Updates the selected products of a structure with an existing revision (not available for representations).
The Replace by Revision panel displays the product structure in a flat view.
In the Replace Action column, select a revision (if any is available): Latest Revision, Latest Stable (with a last frozen or released lifecycle state), Latest Released.

You can multiselect products and replace their revision using the context menu. You can also launch the Compare widget from the context menu.



Update Revisions
Updates a structure with an existing revision of its products (not available for representations).
The Update Revision panel displays the product structure in a hierarchical view, and enables to select the children level from the context menu.

In the first column, a symbol indicates if the current revision can be replaced.

In the Replace Action column, select a revision (if any is available): Latest Revision, Latest Stable (with a last frozen or released lifecycle state), Latest Released.

You can multiselect products and replace their revision from the context menu. You can also launch the Compare widget from the context menu.
