Creating Holes

You can create holes with a variety of shapes, diameters, and properties.

  1. From the Create Layout Feature of the action bar, click Create a hole .
  2. Select the location on the board for the hole to be created.
  3. From the Location section of the hole editor, you can more precisely select the placement of the hole with relation to the plane locations and a rotation value if required.
  4. From the Profile section of the hole editor, choose one of the following profile types:

    • Circle
    • Rectangle
    • Slot

  5. Enter a Length and Width value.

    Tip: Alternatively, you can use the handler directly in the 3D model to modify the rotation, length, and width.

  6. Optional: Check the Plated field if you want the hole to be plated. The Properties section appears and offers a choice between Net and No Net.
  7. Click OK.

    A hole is created.
