Assignees Page for an Issue

You can view the list of people who are assigned to resolve the issue. When a user is assigned to an issue, an email notification is sent to the user.

When a user is added to this list of assignees, that user is granted Add access to the issue regardless of the users's access role. An assignee cannot promote the issue from the To Do to In Work state.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Reader

To access this page:

  1. Open the required issue. See Opening an Issue.
  2. Click the Assignees page tab.

Columns

Column Name Description
Type Person or User Group.
Name The name of the person.
User Name/User Groups The person's user name.
Company You can click the name to view the properties page for the company. See Company, Subsidiary, Business Unit, and Department Properties.
Email The person's email address. You can click the address to compose a message pre-addressed to that assignee.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

You must own the issue and have the Author or Issue Manager access role to perform these actions. You cannot add or remove assignees if the Issue is in the Completed state.

Add Persons Adds another assignee. Search for and select the new assignee.

An assignee with the Reader access role can only add and remove Reference Documents.

An assignee with the Contributor or higher access role can add and remove objects to any of the Issue categories. This user can also promote or demote the Issue when it is in the In Work or In Approval states

Predefined Queries
Add User Groups Searches and selects user groups to add to the list. Any person in the user group can work on the issue.

If a person is removed from a listed user group, that person loses their access to the issue.
