Company, Subsidiary, Business Unit, and Department Properties

You can view properties for your Company, Subsidiaries, Business Units, and Departments.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Administrator, Reader, Owner
  • App-specific: Company Representative, Organization Manager, Buyer Administrator, Supplier Representative, Advanced Quality Engineer, Buyer, Supplier Development Manager, Supplier, Supplier Engineer

Note: Not all access roles have access to all categories, information, or actions.

Fields

Field Name Description
Image The image for the organization. You can click the image to access the Image Manager. For more information, see Images Page. Does not show for a Department.
Name The name of the organization.
Alternate Supplier Names For a supplier company only. Other names of the supplier.
Parent Company For a Company or Subsidiary only: the name of a parent company.
ID or Company ID or Subsidiary ID The alphanumeric characters (numbers, letters, or allowed symbols) that identify the organization.
Cage Code An ID issued by the federal government.
DUNS Number An ID issued by Dunn & Bradstreet.
Phone Number Main phone number or phone number of primary contact.
Fax Number Main fax number or fax number of primary contact.
Web Site Address (URL) of website.
File Store Only shows for a Company or Subsidiary, and if you belong to the Host company.
FTP Host The server name for the organization's FTP site.
FTP Directory The directory for the FTP site.
State The state of the organization. Values are Active or Inactive.
Description Additional information that describes the organization.
Address The street address for the Company or Subsidiary. This attribute does not apply to Business Units and Departments.
Postal Code The postal code for a Company or Subsidiary. This attribute does not apply to Business Units and Departments.
Country The Country name for a Company or Subsidiary. This attribute does not apply to Business Units and Departments.
Standard Cost The standard cost rate per hour for a resource pool or organization. Does not show for a Department.

The currency displays using this format:

<3CharCurrencyCode>-<CurrencyName>-<COUNTRY>

For example, Euros show as EUR-Euro-EUROPE and US dollars show as USD-US Dollar-UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (THE).

JAMP Company ID Only shows if JAMP AIS data management option of Materials Compliance Management is used. The JAMP company identifier.
Resource Manager The person who can add, remove, and edit resource assignments for this organization.
IMDS Company ID Only shows if the ELV Data Management option of Materials Compliance Management is used. The Company ID of the IMDS associated company.

In edit mode, you can click to select the IMDS company. IMDS data must be loaded on the system.

IMDS Miscellaneous Substance Remark Only shows if the ELV Data Management option of Materials Compliance Management is used, and for a customer company. When this customer is referenced in an export, this remark is loaded with the materials. See the Materials Compliance Management User's Guide for details on working with IMDS.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

You must have the Administrator, Organization Manager, or Company Representative access role.

Action Description
Edit Details Edits the properties on this page. Click Done when finished.

You can edit all fields except the Image. To change the image, see Images Page.

Only an Administrator or Organization Manager for the host company can edit information about other companies.

If you change the File Store for a Company or Subsidiary and the File Store does not display, or if you have already changed the host company Name from "Company Name" to another value and you change the name again, you must reload the system cache:

  1. From the compass, select Social and Collaborative Apps .
  2. In the list of apps, click Collaboration and Approvals.
  3. In the navigation pane, click Utilities > Reload Cache.

The File Storedefined here overrides the value defined using MQL. App users will use the File Store defined here while general client users will use the File Store defined in the system.

Collaborate Requests to collaborate with another organization. Select the organizations and share types for the collaboration. Does not show for a Department.

You must have the Administrator, Organization Manager, or Company Representative access role.

After the collaboration request is created, the Administrator or Organization Manager of the target organization must accept it as described in Collaboration Requests Page.

Activate /Deactivate Activates or deactivates the company (toggles between the active and inactive states). You must have the Administrator, Organization Manager, Company Representative, or Buyer Administrator access role.
