Languages Page

An Organization Manager or Administrator can add languages and local languages, then associate them with countries and regions.

In this page, first-level (or parent) items are languages, second-level items (or children) are local languages.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Administrator
  • App-specific: Organization Manager

To access the list of all languages:

  1. From the Compass, select Collaboration and Approvals.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Geography Configuration.
  3. Select the Languages page tab.

To access the list of languages for a specific country:

  1. Open the required country. See Opening a Country.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Languages.

Columns

In the Languages page for a specific country, you see only the Name, Description, and ISO Code columns.

Column Name Description
Name The name of the language or local language.
Type The business type: language or local language.
State The current lifecycle state of the language: Inactive or Active.
2 Letter The 2-letter ISO code for the language.
3 Letter The 3-letter ISO code for the language.
ISO Code The ISO numeric code for the language.
Description Descriptive text about the language.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

The Languages page for a specific country does not have any actions available.

Action Name Description
Create Language Creating Languages
Create Local Language Creating Local Languages
Add To Selected Adding Languages to Regions and Countries
Note: You cannot add the same language to a region or country twice.
Delete Local Language

Deletes the selected local language. Click OK to confirm.
Note: You cannot delete a language.
