Fields

Field Name Description
Title The title of the Bookmark Root.
Name A short, descriptive name for the Bookmark Root.
Bookmark Root Template The template on which this Bookmark Root is based.
Image An image file associated with the Bookmark Root. You cannot change the graphic used to represent the Bookmark Root.
Owner The person who has primary responsibility for the Bookmark Root.
State The current lifecycle state of the Bookmark Root.
Originated The date the Bookmark Root was created.
Buyer Desk The Buyer Desk associated with the Bookmark Root, if there is one. This field only shows if RFQ Management is also used. When editing, you can click to associate a different buyer desk with the Bookmark Root. You can only select a Buyer Desk that has not been associated with a different Bookmark Root. This table lists what happens when you select a Buyer Desk for a Bookmark Root:

Action Result
Remove a Buyer Desk All of its buyers are removed as members of the Bookmark Root.
Select a different Buyer Desk The system removes all members of the previously associated Buyer Desk and adds buyers from the new Buyer Desk.
Disconnect a Buyer Desk If one of the assigned buyers is the Bookmark Root owner or a route member, the system changes the person's member type from Buyer Desk Person to Person and does not remove the person.
Add a Buyer Desk If the Buyer desk includes a buyer who is also added individually to the Bookmark Root, the system treats the person as a Buyer Desk Person (the person cannot be removed individually from the Bookmark Root). If the Buyer Desk is disconnected, the system removes the person unless the person is the Bookmark Root owner or a route member.

Description The purpose of the Bookmark Root, for example the type of content it is intended to manage.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

Depending on your Bookmark Root access and the state of the Bookmark Root, some commands might not be available.

Action Description For More Information
Edit Edits the Title, Owner, or Description of the Bookmark Root.

Users with the same credentials as the person who created the Bookmark Root have the same access to the content, but only the owner (person who created it) can edit the properties (such as changing the title).

--
Save As New Bookmark Root Template Saves the Bookmark Root, including Bookmarks, Sub Bookmarks, and member accesses, as a template.

You must have the Leader access role and belong to the collaborative space that owns the Bookmark Root.

Saving a Bookmark Root as a Bookmark Root Template
Subscribe Chooses alert events that you want to subscribe to. Subscriptions
Activate Allows the Bookmark Root to be used (promotes it to the Active state). Shows for a Bookmark Root that has been created, but not yet activated.

To activate the Bookmark Root, you must be the owner or a member added with Can Edit or Can Manage on the Sharing page.

--
Archive Archives an Active Bookmark Root, if all routes and meetings have been completed and the Bookmark Root is no longer required. Archiving removes all members, so they can no longer work on it or access it.

After archiving a Bookmark Root, the Bookmark Root owner can still access the Bookmark Root and view Bookmarks and Sub Bookmarks, however, no actions can be performed within the Bookmark Root. The Bookmark Root owner can change a Document if that person owns the Document. For Documents owned by other Bookmark Root members, the Bookmark Root owner can access the Document object, but cannot access any files checked into that document.

--
Reactivate Reactivates an archived Bookmark Root. The lifecycle state changes back to Active so the Bookmark Root is listed again on the My View page.

You must have the Administrator access role.

Push Subscription Sets subscriptions for other users to be notified when specific events occur for the Bookmark Root. Pushing Subscriptions
