Creating Sub Bookmarks

You can create a Sub Bookmark in an existing Bookmark.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Contributor
  • App-specific: All

Before you begin: Navigate to the required Bookmark (see Bookmarks Page), and navigate to the required Sub Bookmark.
  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Create New .
  2. Enter these details:

    The Parent shows the name of the Bookmark where this Sub Bookmark will be created.

    Field Name Description
    Name Sub Bookmarks within a Bookmark or Sub Bookmark also cannot have the same name. Sub Bookmarks can have the same name if they are within different Bookmarks or Sub Bookmarks.
    Description Describe the intent or purpose of the Bookmark.
    Inherit Access Choose an option:
    • Click Yes so that the Bookmark inherits access from its parent object. The access type of the Bookmark is Inherited.
    • Click No so that the Bookmark does not inherit access from its parent object. The access type of the Bookmark is Specific.
    Publish on Connect Choose if the app should promote an item when it is added to this Bookmark:

    Option Description
    True When an item is added to the Bookmark, promotes the item to its published state.

    This occurs for items added to the Bookmark using the Copy, Move, or Add Existing menu or toolbar commands.

    False No promotion is executed for items added to the Bookmark.

  3. Click Done.

    If you selected No for Inherit Access, add members to the Sharing page. See Sharing Page.
