Creating Electrodes

You can create an electrode from a cavity in a solid or a sewed surface, to be machined in a die sinking process.

You need to create an active geometry, either by extraction or from a sketch.

After you have added a reinforcement, you can add a holder either from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform or from a catalog.

You can interrupt this creation process at any step, and resume it by selecting the electrode before starting the command. The command will start where you left it.

A context toolbar is attached to the active element, providing the commands you need at a given step.

Notes:
  • You must have access to Mold Tooling Design.
  • Electrode does not support electrodes created before 3DEXPERIENCE R2015x.
