Logical Features Page for a Model

The Logical Features page for a model includes page tabs that list the candidate and committed features and the master composition model (and all of its features).

Any Variant Analysis and Reuse user who has access to a model can view the logical features for that model.

To access this page:

  1. Open the model. See Opening a Model.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Logical Features.
  3. Select a page tab.

Page Tabs

Page Tab Name Description
Candidate Items Lists logical features currently available as candidates at the model level. These logical features can be committed to model version revisions of the model.
Committed Items Lists logical features committed to the specific model version revisions.
Master Composition Lists master compositions managed by Design and Manufacturing Configuration Planning.

Columns

Column Name Description
Display Name The display name of the logical feature. Click to open the logical feature.
The icon indicates that there is a higher revision of the logical feature.
Name The name of the logical feature. Click to open the logical feature, or right-click the name to open the context menu.
Type The object type: logical feature.
State The current state of the logical feature in its lifecycle.
Display Text The display text associated with the logical feature.
Part Family The part family that the logical feature belongs to.
Click to open the logical feature in a new window.
Owner The owner of the logical feature.
Committed To

Only shows on the Committed Items page tab.

The model version revision that the logical feature is committed to.
Master Composition The model structure associated with the logical feature.
The icon indicates that there is an active change for the logical feature.
