Welcome to the Grid Approach tutorial. This tutorial comprises 8 steps that lead you
through the grid approach in Composites Design.
To create the Composites design of a portion of fuselage:
Define a panel from a surface and planes that represent the structure
constraints.
From the panel, compute cells and apply a laminate to them, thus creating the
grid.
From the grid, generate, visualize, and optimize a virtual stacking containing predefinition
of plies organization in layer deduced automatically from laminate definition.
Modify the plies organization, if required.
Once you are satisfied with the virtual plies, create the physical plies.
Now verify the laminates and the plies shapes.
Create a top surface from the virtual stacking and display iso-thickness areas,
junction lines and ITPs
