Editing the View of Columns

You can change the way columns appear on the Characteristic page.

Before you begin: Required access roles:
  • Baseline: Author
  • App-Specific: Product Data Originator, Restricted Product Data Originator
  1. From the Parts page, click the name of a part.
    The properties page for the part appears. For more information, see Parts.
  2. From the category menu, click Characteristics.
    All the characteristics that are associated to the part are displayed. For more information, see Characteristics on Parts.
  3. Click Edit View Columns , to edit the view of columns.

    Enter the following details:

    Column NameDescription
    OrderThe order of columns from left to right.
    Header NameThe column name.
    Is VisibleSelect one of the following:
    • True: The column is visible on the characteristics page.
    • False: The column is not visible on the characteristics page.
    Column WidthThe width of the column.
    Note: If width is not specified or a non-numeric value is entered, the value of column width is set to auto and the minimum width is set to 100.
    Min WidthThe minimum width the column must have.

    You can reorder the columns by dragging and dropping them to different place.

  4. Click Done.
    The view of columns on characteristics page is modified. For every login, the same view is displayed.
