Creating Characteristics from Master on Parts

You can create a characteristic to a part from characteristic master.

Before you begin: Required access roles:
  • Baseline: Author
  • App-Specific: Product Data Originator
  1. From the Parts page, click the name of the part.
    The properties page for the part appears. For more information, see Parts
  2. From the category menu, click Characteristics.
    Displays all the characteristics that are associated to the part. For more information, see Characteristics on Parts
  3. Click, to add a characteristic from the master.
    Displays all a list of available characteristic masters that are in Released state and its details.
  4. Select the characteristic master you want to associate with the part.
  5. Click Submit.

The selected characteristic appears on the Characteristic List page of the part.
