Connector for CATIA V5 Access to Content

Responsibility

Connector for CATIA V5 uses the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 3DSpace baseline responsibilities that your business administrator assigns to you. The table below describes the level of responsibility for each role.

Responsibility	Description
Reader	Access Connector for CATIA V5 data in the project.
Contributor	Has the same right as a Reader on CATIA V5 data.
Author	Produce and manage Design Definition data such as, CATProduct, CATPart, CATDrawing. Has access to X-CAD Design Management's Start Design feature.
Leader	Manages Design Resources data such as Template, catalog and material. Has access to X-CAD Design Management's Start Design or Create Design Template command
Owner	Add existing people to the project, modify role of people.
Administrator	Access to "ENOVIA Team Environment Administration". Access to X-CAD Design Management's Global Preferences command.

Your business administrator can configure access rules that change the default behavior.

On premises only: Your business administrator can change the default accesses to commands, content, and collaborative spaces. Companies can also implement customized roles and accesses.

This guide describes the default behavior when describing access to content or commands.

Your access to content or commands is determined by more than your responsibility. The current collaborative space, your organization, the current lifecycle state of the content, the app you are using, and other customizations all affect whether you can access content or commands. You might have access to some content or commands only under certain conditions.

Content Lifecycle

Using Configure My Enovia console, some predefined lifecycle checks for the X-CAD Design Management definition data can be activated to restrict maturity transitions depending on roles for the following object types:

The following pre defined checks can be independently activated for each transition of the life cycle for any data type:

Rule	Description
Unconditional reject	The maturity transition is denied whatever the role.
Reject on Creator	The maturity transition is denied for Author role.
Reject on Standard Data	The maturity transition is denied if the data belongs to a Standard Project whatever the role.
