Viewing a Supporting Document

You can view the supporting documents available under the selected chapter.

Use Properties

You can view the supporting document in the chapter properties.

  1. Select a chapter of your choice.
  2. To view the supporting document available under the selected chapter, right-click the selected chapter and select Properties.
    The Properties dialog box appears. 
  3. Click More....
    The Properties progress bar shows the percentage of loading the Associated Documents tab.
  4. Select the Associated Documents tab.
    The supporting document attached to the selected chapter are listed.
  5. Right-click the selected document to execute the following commands: Open, Download, Check-In, Check-Out, Cancel Check-Out and Open for Edit.

Use Catalog Browser

You can view the supporting documents available under the selected chapter in the Catalog Browser.

  1. To open a catalog or chapter in the Product Structure Design, select Catalog Browser from the Tools section of the action bar.
    The Choose a Catalog or Chapter dialog box appears. For more information about how to open a catalog in Catalog Browser, see Opening a Catalog in the Catalog Browser.
  2. Choose a chapter from the search results list and click OK.
    The selected chapter is available in the Catalog Browser. A document icon appears as a mask on the selected chapter.
  3. Right-click the selected chapter and select View Supporting Document(s).
    The Supporting Document(s) dialog box appears.
    Note: If an Engineering Document or a CBP Document (containing only one file within it) is attached to the selected chapter, the document directly opens.
  4. Right-click the document of your choice to execute the following commands: Open, Download, Check-In, Check-Out, Cancel Check-Out and Open for Edit.
