Geometric Primitives Properties

Geometric primitive properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

This page discusses:

Common Properties

Name
Defines the name of the selected geometric primitive.
Active
Defines whether or not the actor is active during a playing session.
Notes:
  • The actor's activity depends on the context. If one or more parent actors are inactive in the hierarchy, the actor is also inactive.
  • When the actor is inactive during a playing session, its associated behaviors or scripts are inactive.
Color
Defines the color of the selected geometric primitive.
Clickable
Defines whether or not the geometric primitive responds to a click.
Note: This property is available in the playing mode only.
Visible
Defines whether or not the geometric primitive is visible.
Material
Defines whether or not a material is applied to the geometric primitive.

  • No Material: no material is applied to the actor.
  • Material's Name: provides a light preview and the name of the material.
To edit the material, you need to first expose the material in the experience or apply a new material. For more information, see Exposing Materials or Apply Materials.

Position
Defines the position of the geometric primitive in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note: Values are in mm.
Rotation
Defines the rotation of the geometric primitive in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note: Values are in degrees.
Scale
Defines the uniform scale factor of the geometric primitive.

Width
Defines the width of the selected cube.
Length
Defines the length of the selected cube.
Height
Defines the height of the selected cube.

Plane Properties

Width
Defines the width of the selected plane.
Length
Defines the length of the selected plane.

Cylinder/Capsule/Cone Properties

Radius
Defines the radius of the selected object (cylinder, capsule, or cone).
Height

Sphere Properties

Radius
Defines the radius of the selected sphere.

Torus Properties

Radius 1
Defines the first radius of the selected torus.
Radius 2
Defines the second radius of the selected torus.

Width
Defines the width of the selected arrow.
Length
Defines the length of the selected arrow.
Head Length
Defines the length of the arrowhead.
Head Width
Defines the width of the arrowhead.
