Model Display Commands

HD visualization is combined with the wireframe option. For more information about the combination of HD Visualization and Shading rendering modes, see About Visualization Modes

Focus On
For an object selected in the 3D, Focus On reframes and focuses on the object in the 2D.

For an object selected in the 2D, Focus On reframes and focuses on the object in the 3D

Notes: You can select several objects. In this case, a selection navigator appears at the top of the 2D or 3D viewer and enables you to navigate from one selected object to another.

The 2D and/or 3D is reframed based on the selected object.

For more information, see Focusing on Selected Objects.

Reframe On
Center the selected object and maximize its use of the viewer space.
Properties
Accesses the properties of a selected object.
Toggle HD Visualization
Switch the HD Visualization mode between non-HD (Indexed simplified geometries) and HD (Simplified geometries, precise and accurate).

In the multiselection case, the most selected mode is considered.

Note: The default loading mode is indexed simplified geometries, but you can modify it to simplified geometries. See Editing Preferences

Ambience

For more information on Ambience options, see Ambiences.

Display

Visual Quality
Lets you customize the render quality settings.
Notes:
  • This option is not available for 2D objects and on mobiles.
  • If you load a 2D object (drawings, diagram layouts, and layout sheets) or FTA annotations, the current antialiasing is saved and automatically changed to the multisampling antialiasing (MSAA). After the 2D object or 3D annotation is unloaded, the previous antialiasing is restored.

For more information, see Managing the Visualization Quality.

Status Bar
Lets you manage the visibility of the status bar.

Overload Commands

These contextual commands are available only for the active slides and formats.

Remove Overload
Removes the overloads (position and graphic properties) from the selected product structure element.

By default, both positions as well as graphic properties are removed. You can manage the features to be removed by clearing the respective check boxes in the Remove Overload dialog box.

Copy Overload
Copies all the overloaded properties from the selected product structure elements to the clipboard. You can copy overloaded properties and markers simultaneously.
Paste Overload
Pastes the copied or cut overload properties from the clipboard to the current slide or format.

  • When no slides, no formats, and no product structure elements are selected, the copied overloaded properties are added in the current slide or format.
  • When slides or formats are selected, the copied overloaded properties are added in the selected slide or format.
  • When product structure elements are selected from the current slide or format, the copied overloaded properties are applied to the selected elements.
    • If more elements are copied than the target elements, the properties of only the first copied element are applied on the target elements.
    • If fewer elements are copied than the target elements, the overloaded properties are applied sequentially.

Paste Special Overload
Pastes only the selected type of properties from the copied or cut overloaded properties to the current slide or format.

You can choose to paste position and graphic properties or only one of them, by selecting the respective check boxes in the Paste Special dialog box.
