Add Visualizations to a Screen
Before you begin: You have created a data perspective and switched to Edit
mode.

From the left panel, under
Presentation, select a screen.

Click
Add visualization.
The visualization list opens, expanding the Chart type
by default.

Browse or search for a visualization.
Visualization Type |

Chart |
Use these visualizations to display measures, like count, on document
categories.

Hits |
Use these visualizations to add search fields and configure how to display
search results, on your screen.
You typically add a search field, a result list, a refine panel to filter
results.

Media |
Use these visualizations to add static elements to your screen, like a
title, text, image, etc.

Navigation |
Use these visualizations to configure the navigation on your screen.

To add a visualization on the canvas:

Specify the visualization configuration parameters.
Notes:
- Visualizations that require additional configuration show a Missing
Or Wrong Configuration message. For many of them, you must specify a
data query. For more information, see Call a Data Query as Feed.
- The visualization labels that you can localize in different languages display
buttons. For more information, see Use Translations in Screen Visualizations.
Resize a Visualization
Drag the lower-right corner of the visualization.

Change the Visualization Position
In the central panel, move the visualization to its required position.
Note:
A vertical-compact policy constrains the positions of visualizations. You cannot
position a visualization below an empty space.

Call a Data Query as Feed
For most visualizations, define how they interact with the Semantic Graph Index by defining a data query. You can consider, the data query as a feed rendered by the
visualization.

Select a visualization.

From the right panel, select a data query.
For more information, see Adding a New Basic Data Query.

In Dimensions, select how to display the data query.
For example, you can define the axes of a graph, COUNT as the measure type to display in the graph lines, etc.
Copy a Visualization

In the central panel, click a visualization.

At the top of the right panel, you have 2 copy options:
Copy the
visualization to another screen. You must select the destination screen.
Duplicate
the visualization on the same screen. The copy displays at the bottom of the first
column.
Pin a Visualization to the Screen
You can pin a visualization to its position on the screen.

In the central panel, click a visualization.

At the top of the right panel, click
.
The visualization is now pinned to its position on the screen. To unpin the
visualization and move it elsewhere on the central panel, click 
again.
Export a Visualization
You can export a snapshot of a visualization as png , and send it
to your coworkers to show an important event in your data set.

In the central panel, click a visualization.

Click
to expand
the visualization actions.

Click
Export visualization.
Data Perspective Studio exports an export_<date>.png snapshot of the
visualization.
Export CSV to 3DDrive
You can export the values of a table visualization (or a Data panel linked to a
visualization) as csv on 3DDrive.
Before you begin: The screen has a table visualization or a Data Panel showing
the underlying data of a chart visualization.

In the central panel, click a table visualization or Data panel linked to a
visualization.

Click
to expand
the visualization actions.

Click
Export CSV to 3DDrive.
Data Perspective Studio exports a .csv file on 3DDrive, under the My Files > Exported tables folder.
Delete a Visualization
You can delete a selected visualization:
- From the central panel, by clicking the
Delete key.
- From the top of the right panel, by clicking
.
Note:
When you delete a visualization, the right panel displays the Screen properties automatically.
