Translating Data Experiences

You can localize the names of many visualizations elements of your data perspective, by defining sets of key/ values.

Important: By default, Data Perspective Studio displays the 3DDashboard language defined in your Preferences.

This task shows you how to:

Add Translations

Before you begin: You have created an data perspective and switched to Edit mode.

From the left panel, select Translation.
Click Add key.
A new row displays in the table to let you define the key and its associated language values.
Optional: Rename the key if you do not want to use the name assigned automatically.
Declare the term translation for each language requiring localization.
In the following example, we defined translation keys for the X and Y axes of a graph visualization.
Add other key/ values.

Before you begin: You must have defined keys and translation values in

Translation.

From the left panel, under Presentation, select a screen.
From the central panel, select the visualization on which you want to apply localization.
In the right panel, the visualization properties that support localization display buttons.
Click the button of the label you want to localize, and select a translation key.
In the following example, we select the translation keys previously defined for the X and Y axes of a chart.

From the left panel, under Presentation, select a screen.
From the top bar, use the language selector to verify translated labels on the UI.

Tip: You can also use the Preview.

The screen displays translated elements.
