About Options in the Modelica Parameters Edition Dialog Box

This topic describes some important options and features in the dialog box for editing component parameters and other modifiers.

Note: This dialog box can also be used to display the parameters and other modifiers for any class, however without being able to edit them.

For a global description of this dialog box, see Modelica Parameters Edition Dialog Box.

To know how to use this dialog box, see Displaying and Editing Modelica Parameters.

This page discusses:

Propagate Parameters

You can automatically create a new parameter and a corresponding binding in the surrounding class that conveniently enables to use the parameter on a higher level.

Note: This command can be used also for propagating a replaceable class.

See Propagating Parameters.

Edit Command

On the right of some boxes, an Edit command appears to let you access the corresponding edition dialog box.

See Command Dialog Boxes and Editors.

Info Button

The Info command displays the HTML documentation of the class, if defined. If the HTML documentation for the class is not defined due to, for example, the class being copied from another class without generating new documentation, the command displays the text part of the original class.
