About Behavior Libraries

A Modelica behavior library is a library reference containing behaviors that can be reused in different models. It is impossible to reuse a Modelica behavior if it has not been created within a Modelica library.

A Modelica behavior stored in a library can be reused:

  • in another Modelica behavior library
  • in a functional representation
  • in a logical representation.

Note that a Modelica behavior library is a representation reference, that is, an autonomous reference within the database. A Modelica behavior library cannot be aggregated to a function or logical component.

You can create your own Modelica library, import a Modelica library, or use a Modelica library installed by your administrator.

Tip: To see where a given Modelica behavior library is used, you can use the Relations. For more information, see Finding Where a Modelica Library is Used.
