Customizing Preferences

You can customize preferences for Dymola Behavior Modeling.

  1. From the top bar, select Me > Preferences, and then click the App Preferences tab.
  2. Expand 3D Modeling, and then Systems Modeling and Execution.
  3. Select Dymola Behavior Modeling.
  4. Expand the section corresponding to the options to be customized.

    Section Description
    Authoring Customizes the libraries that are automatically loaded when entering the Dymola Behavior Modeling app.
    Editor Customizes various editor options, for example for visualization, connectors, grid, double-click action, and new class creation.
    Compiler Customizes the compiler required to compile the Modelica code before a virtual execution.
    FMI Customizes the Functional Mock-up Interface import.
    Results Customizes the virtual execution of your model, and external C function compilation.
    Libraries Customizes the location where to find Modelica libraries documentation, additional 3D XML files for libraries, and finally where to add alternative external licenses, if any.
    Units Customizes units.
    Comparison Customizes the location where to find the tools for comparing, and eventually merging, classes in the Dymola Behavior Modeling app. The selection of tool is also handled.

  5. To customize additional options for Dymola Behavior Modeling:
    1. In the Preferences dialog box, select the Common Preferences tab.
    2. Expand Object Properties, and then 3D Shape
    3. Select Infrastructure.
    4. Expand the section corresponding to the options to be customized.

      Section Description
      3D Shape Infrastructure The preference Keep link with selected object: When activated, keeps the link between the Knowledgeware parameters in the physical model and the Modelica parameters.

  6. Specify these options according to your needs.
