Executing a Script or a Selected Part of a Script

You can execute a script, or a selected part of it, in the Modelica Script Editor.


Before you begin: The script must be displayed and active in the Modelica Script Editor.
Note: The tabs in the Modelica Script Editor allow you to have several scripts opened at the same time, but only one is active, the one you see displayed in the pane.

  1. For a script located in a file structure, to execute the script in the folder where it is located, make sure that the command button Change to Script Directory is activated.

    Notes:
    • The command works in toggle mode.
    • When the option is cleared, the corresponding button is displayed grayed.
    • By default, this option is activated.

  2. Optional: If a part of the script should be executed, select this part.

    Note: The selected part must be executable.

    A part of the script is selected.
  3. Click Run Script .
    If a part of the script is selected, that part is executed. If nothing is selected, the whole script is executed.
