Rerunning the Failed PDF Conversion Process

If, for some reason, the automatic generation of a PDF file fails, it generates an error message. The user who was checking in the file to the quality system document, or promoting or demoting the quality system document can manually rerun the conversion process.

Before you begin: After you receive an error message indicating that the PDF conversion process failed, view the Properties page for the quality system document for which automatic PDF generation failed. See Quality System Document Properties.

My Documents
  1. From the page toolbar, click Rerun failed PDF conversion .
    A message indicates that the PDF automatic generation process is running again.
  2. Click OK.
    You will receive another message when the process completes successfully.

The automatically generated PDFs are checked-in to the quality system document after the PDF conversion process completes successfully.
