Mass Promotion of Objects

You can mass promote objects from applications other than X-CAD Design Management app.

For example, you can mass promote objects that are added to a CO or CA as Proposed Items.

Before you begin:
  • Ensure the promotion rules and conditions have been satisfied. For more information, see Mass Promotion
  • You need to have the necessary access and permission for mass promote.

Promoting Objects
  1. Add related child parts to the Proposed Items.
  2. Select the objects and click .
    The selected object and its children are promoted to the next state.

The promotion process is done in the background and no page or dialog box appears.

The objects that are connected as Affected Items are expanded to get all its children. When you promote a parent object, all its children are promoted even if they are not there in the CO or CA as Proposed Items.

Warning: When a structure is promoted outside X-CAD Design Management app using mass promote, the order of promotion of parent and child objects is not fixed. By default, the mass promote does not promote in specific order.
