About Feature Generation Using Simplified Mode

Feature generation as simplified mode, and then you start the Edit features by selecting the stiffener manufactured item.

• For the Straight stiffener manufactured item, there is no difference.
• For the Curved stiffener manufactured item, the auxiliary viewer displays the flattened IPM having the manufacturing features created on it and the bent/rolled/twisted stiffener design object.
• The Transparency slider is at the upper-left corner.

In terms of curved stiffener manufactured item, the auxiliary viewer displays the flattened IPM and curved stiffener design object. Manufacturing features represents straightened results create without intermediate features from curved stiffener.

Use the slider to adjust the transparency of the design object and hide the design object by removing the check box in the Auxiliary viewer.

This describes the Edit Features Dialog dialog box using Simplified Mode.

The edit features dialog contains separate tab pages, and two more tabs are available in case of curved stiffener.

• Straight Stiffener: No more tab
• Bent/Twisted Stiffener: Added Material and Inverse Bending Curve tab
• Rolled Stiffener: Added Material and Roll Lines tab

Tab pages are present in the Edit Feature dialog box. Go to the required tab page and modify or create the features as required in the flattened part directly.

• BSU: View or modify the BSU orientation of the flattened part from this tab.
• Opening: This tab page lists all the opening manufacturing features in the flattened part. Modify the opening type as required in the flattened part.
• Attachment Line: This tab page lists all the attachment lines in the flattened part. View/modify the properties of the attachment lines of the flattened part from this tab as required.
• Alignment Line: This tab page lists all the alignment lines of the flattened part. View/modify the properties of the alignment lines of the flattened part from this tab as required.
• Reference Line: Create or modify the reference line from this tab. The reference line computes on the curved design part and its flattened result creates directly in the flattened part.
• Positive Margin: Create or update positive margins from this tab. The boundary of the flattened part highlights in the auxiliary viewer. Select the required edge of the flattened part to create new positive margins in the flattened part.
• Negative Margin: Create or update negative margins from this tab. The boundary of the flattened part highlights in the auxiliary viewer. Select the required edge of the flattened part to create new negative margins in the flattened part.
• Edge Preparation: Create or update edge preparations from this tab. The boundary of the flattened part highlights in the auxiliary viewer. Select the required edge of the flattened part to create edge preparations in the flattened part.
• Roll Line: This tab page lists all the roll lines generated in the flattened part. Edit the number of roll lines or offset ratio from this tab as required.
• Tangent Line: This tab page lists all the tangent lines generated in the flattened part.
• Distortion: Not supported

Supports multiselection in Edit Features for the simplified models.

BSU, Outer Contour, Attachment Line and, Alignment Line compute based on formed design data and transfer to straightened result.

A Reference Line creates from your interactions. Select a reference plane or other GSM features for reference line creation in the Auxiliary Viewer. The reference line creates on the formed design temporarily, and transfers to a straight result to have the correct solution.
