This page discusses:

Human Location

Name
In the edit panel, a name's editor is where you can modify the name of the human interface. A default name automatically appears, or you can enter a name.
Target

This shows the Target Name of the Human Location. Typically in Ergonomics at Work scenarios, the product is locked. You do not have the rights to modify the product. Detailing of human tasks involves the creation of Human Interfaces within the macro commands like GET/REACH. In such cases, the parent of the Human Interface is always the first Organizational Resource above the Human. This is the default behavior. There is no change at all for Human Interfaces and Human Locations created in older versions of the software. They are displayed in the spec tree and remain instantiated under products for use.

  • Integration with Manufacturing setup: A human interface creates with the target being the product inside the Manufacturing setup and the owner being the manufacturing setup root.
  • For a product in a Product: A human interface creates with the target being the product selected. The owner being the first Organizational Resource above the human and the change owner option disables.
Owner
The product or 3D Part on which a Human Interface or Location adds information that highlights areas of interest. Also called pointed product, 3D Part, or parent.
Orientated
Select to orientate the human location.
Delete
This deletes the human location.
OK, Apply, Close
OK accepts this human location. Apply, applies this location, and Close, closes the dialog box.

Generalities of the Manikin Interface or Location

Edition Scenario
  • When editing the existing Human Interface or the Location, you can change its parent. Know if this operation authorizes it or not.
  • In the case of a reusable Human Interface or Location, you can change it to context. Propagation may fail if you do not have the right to modify the owner.
  • In the case of a context of a Human Interface or Location, you can change it to reusable. Propagation may fail if you do not have the right to modify the owner.
Visual Representation

Reusable Human Interfaces or Locations are black and red. Inside the Ergonomics at work app, this kind of Human Interfaces and Locations is the default choice when the target is a Resource or Tool and Device.

Context Human Interfaces or Locations are black and yellow. Inside the Ergonomics at work app, this kind of Human Interfaces and Locations is the default choice when the Target is a Product.

Availability of Human Interfaces or locations

Reusable Human Interfaces or Locations store on the reference of the target, and are therefore available in any context where using the target.

Context Human Interfaces or Locations store in a given context, and are available in that context. They may be available in another context if the inverse link from owner to human interface / location resolves. That is if the parent is present in the environment.

3D XML Export
Human Interfaces or Locations export with their parent.
Versioning
Creating a new version of a product, which has Human Interfaces and or Human Locations generates a new product with no Human Interfaces and or Human Locations.
