Automatic Synchronization

In order to take into account the automatic synchronization that can happen in an interactive session, the NC Batch Queue panel has three radio buttons in the Automatic Synchronization.

  • Off - The batch job is only computed and you have to synchronize the job manually by clicking the button in the NC Batch Queue panel. The synchronization status is displayed using a progress bar for manual synchronization.
  • In batch session - The batch job is computed and the results is automatically synchronized in a batch session.
  • In interactive session - The batch job is computed and the results is automatically synchronized in an interactive session. If an interactive session is not running, the automatic synchronization does not happen and you have to synchronize the job manually by clicking the button in the NC Batch Queue panel in a later interactive session.

By default, In batch session.

Run Mode
This provides you with the option to defer the launch of the batch to a time and date of your choice by clicking the button. On clicking the button, a calendar appears which you can select the date on which to start the batch. The calendar always displays the current date. If the time entered is invalid, a warning message is displayed on activating the batch.
Log File

Open the log file and click {...} to specify the name and location of the log file.

The batch queue report file is a .htm file that contains a table listing information about all the jobs and their status.

Clicking the status of any job opens the report file for that job and shows information and warnings/errors generated during its execution. The batch queue report file is generated at the end of the execution of all the jobs.

The Log button remains disabled during the time the batch queue is running and clicking the Log button after the execution opens the batch queue report file using the default web browser.

Automatic Status Update

The status of the batch jobs (Started/Computed/Failed/Synchronized) in the batch panel automatically gets updated when the batch panel is kept open. Also, at the end of the batch queue execution, a message is displayed in the document to inform you. This message is displayed irrespective of whether the batch panel is open or not and which command or Application you are working in.
