  1. From any product:
    1. Select a machining app then the Programming section.
A PPR Context with an empty Manufacturing Cell is created with a Activities Process Tree.
    2. Create a generic machine or assign a machine from the database.

Note: As soon as a machine is assigned to the Manufacturing Cell, a Part Operation and a Manufacturing Program are created in the Activities Process Tree.

    3. Alternatively, open an existing Machining Process or PPR Context.
By default, the Activities Process Tree is available.
  2. Click Manage Batch Queue .
  3. In the NC Batch Management dialog box that appears, click to create a new job.
  4. In the Job Definition dialog box that appears, under Selection, click {...} and select Machining Operation, Manufacturing Program, Part Operation, or Simulation from the Activities Process Tree.
When you make the selection, the Machining Cell and Selection fields get populated.
  5. Under Description, select the job type: Compute NC file, Compute tool path or Simulate and generate results.
  6. Optional: If Compute NC file is selected:
    1. Click NC Output Options to specify the NC code.

Note: This allows you to request an output NC file (APT, CLFile, or NC code) with your job. The NC file parameters are defined in a similar way to those described in Simulating a Machine Using NC Code. A different output type can be requested for each job.

    2. In the NC Output Options dialog box that appears, specify the required details and click Validate.
The Job Definition dialog box for computing the NC file job appears with the following information:
    • Machining Cell: Name of the machining cell.
    • Selection: Name of the manufacturing activity.
    • Description: Description of the job definition.
  7. Click Run after you have set all your requirements to start the job execution.
