A scope is defined as the intersection of one or more of the following dimensions, at any chosen level of aggregation:

  • An item (product category, family...), and
  • A stock location (region, country, ...).

The chart is split into two parts in time:

  • Actual inventory in the past and in the current period: Total actual inventory for the considered scope at the end of the period.
  • Projected inventory in current and future periods: Total planned inventory for the considered scope at the end of the period.
Note: The data for the projected inventory is available per scenario. This enables you to perform a side by side comparison of the inventory levels between scenarios.

If you are investigating a defined safety stock target for the supply chain scope, it is shown in the chart.
