Creating a New Revision of a Document

You can make changes to the new document without modifying the original document by creating a new document revision. The command is accessible from the product structure tree and search results.


Before you begin: The document must be in its highest maturity state (final state) before creating the new revision.

Replacing an Existing Revision of a Document
  1. Select an assembly having documents.
  2. Expand the product structure tree.
  3. Select a document and click New Major Revision from the Lifecycle section of the action bar.
    The New Major Revision dialog box appears.
  4. Click OK.
    A success message appears. The new revision of the document is created.
