Component Request Page

The Component Requests page lists all of the available component requests.

To access this page, from the home page, click Component Requests.

When you list component requests, the toolbar includes these actions:

Action Description For More Information
Search Filters the list of component requests to only those that contain the characters that you enter. Enter at least 3 characters to search within the list. Filtering Listed Items by Title
New Component Request Creates a component request. Creating Component Requests
Submit Promotes a component request from the In Draft state to the Evaluation state. A 3DNotification is sent to the Request Assignee when the request is submitted. If the request assignee is a user group, the 3DNotification is sent to all the users in the user group. Content Lifecycles
Delete Deletes a selected component request. You can delete a component request in the In Draft state.
Note: Deleting large numbers of objects at one time causes timeout issues.

Tile View Displays the component request in a tile or a table. Click Tile View or a Data Grid View.

Sort Sorts components by title in ascending or descending order. Sorting Items in a View
Active Filters the component request with the following options:
  • Active - lists all component requests. By default, Active is selected.
  • Approved - lists the approved component requests.
  • Cancelled - lists all canceled component requests.
  • Rejected - lists all rejected component requests.
  • All - lists all component requests.

Information

You can select the component request and click Information to view the component request details. For more information, see Component Request Information.

Tile View

You can hover over the tile to view the component request details. For each component request, the tile provides these details:

Detail Description
The component request image.
Title

The user-defined title of the object.
Request Category The request category used when creating the component request:
  • Component Introduction Request
  • Component Modification Request
  • Source Change Notification
Request Approval Status
Note: Displays when the component request is approved, rejected, or canceled.
 Indicates the status of the component request. The status is empty until the component request is approved, rejected, or canceled. The Request Approval Status values are:
  • Empty
  • Approved - the component request is completed.
  • Rejected - the component request is rejected.
  • Canceled - the component request is canceled.
Owner Displays the user currently responsible for the component request.

The status bar displays the component request due date states, request assignee, and the connected context project, product, and plant. The following due date states indicate the status of the component request:
  • indicates that the component request is more than 7 days from the due date.
  • indicates that the component request is completed.
  • indicates that the due date is within 7 days.
  • indicates that the due date is past.
Note: The due date does not display if the component request is rejected or canceled.
Request Assignee Displays if the component request is assigned to a user or a user group.
Context Project Displays if the component request has a connected project.
Context Product Displays if the component request has a connected product.
Context Plant Displays if the component request has a connected plant.

Data Grid View

The table shows these details:

Column Description
Title The title of the component request.
Name

The unique identifier of the object, automatically defined at creation.

For example, CQR-100001.
Description The description of the component request.
Request Approval Status Indicates the status of the component request. The status is empty until the component request is approved, rejected, or canceled. The Request Approval Status values are:
  • Empty
  • Approved - the component request is completed.
  • Rejected - the component request is rejected.
  • Canceled - the component request is canceled.
Request Category The request category selected for the component request:
  • Component Introduction Request
  • Component Modification Request
  • Source Change Notification
Component Category The selected component category from the selected request template.

Context - Displays the context information added to the component request in the form of a project, product, and plant.
Project Displays the related project information added at component request creation.
Product Displays the related product information added at component request creation.
Plant Displays the related plant information added at component request creation.
Request Assignee The name of the request assignee.
Submitted By The owner who submitted the request.
Due Date The date the component request is due.
Creation Date

The date and time when the object was created.
Modification Date

The date and time when the object was last modified. If not modified, this date is the same as the Creation Date.

You can select these options from each component request's context menu.

Submit
Note: Displays when the component request is in the In Draft state.
 Submits the component request to the Evaluation state from the In Draft state. A 3DNotification is sent to the Request Assignee when the request is submitted. If the request assignee is a user group, the 3DNotification is sent to all the users in the user group. Content Lifecycles
Add Answer Request Creates a component request as an answer item for a component requests that is in the Submitted, Under Review, or Under Implementation states. The new component request is added as an answer item to the parent component request. Creating Component Requests
Approve Approves the component request that is in the Request Approval state and has no pending tasks.
Important: You must have edit access to approve the component request.

Reject
Note: Displays for the Request Assignee when the component request is in the Submitted state.
 Rejects the component request. Any route in the current state is stopped and the component request moves to the Closed state. A 3DNotification is sent to the Requester, Request Assignee, and members of the component request when the request is rejected. Reject a Component Request
Cancel
Note: Displays for the Requester when the component request is in the Submitted state.
 Cancels the component request. Any route in the current state is stopped and the component request moves to the Closed state. A 3DNotification is sent to the Requester, Request Assignee, and members of the component request when the request is canceled. Cancel a Component Request
Notify
Note: Displays for the Requester when the component request is past due.
 Sends a 3DNotification to the requester, request assignee, and the members of the component request when the component request due date is past. Sending Past Due Notifications
