Context Actions

You can quickly access common actions by right-clicking an item in the document map or a topic.

Right-click an item in the document map to access specific options to organize the map.

Menu Item Description

Insert Topic Before

Insert Topic After

Insert Topic as Child

 Determines where in the map, relative to the selected document, to insert a new or existing topic. For more information, see Editing Maps.
New Topic Adds a new, blank topic according to the selected action. For more information, see Creating Topics.
Existing Topic Lets you search for an existing topic to add as a child of the selected map or topic. For more information, see Editing Maps.
Unlock For objects that you have locked, releases the lock for the map.
Exclude from Rendering Marks the topic so that when you publish it (for example as a PDF file), this topic is not included. The app adds to the document icon in the map to indicate it is excluded for rendering.

You can still use the elements within an excluded topic as content references for other topics in the map.
Include in Rendering Only shows for an excluded topic. Removes the requirement to exclude the topic, so that the topic is included in any rendered files.
Remove Topic Removes the selected topic from the document map. The topic is not deleted from 3DEXPERIENCE; only removed from the current map.

Topic Shortcut Menu

Click in a topic to access its menu.

Action Description
Refreshes the topic with any changes made by other users.

Table Context Menu

Right-click in a table to manage its structure.

Tool Description
Move Row to Header For the first row only. Converts the body row to a header row.
Move Row to Body For the last header row only. Converts the header row to a body row.
Insert 1 Column(s) Left Inserts a column to the left.
Insert 1 Column(s) Right Inserts a column to the right.
Insert 1 Row(s) Above Inserts a row above.
Insert 1 Row(s) Below Inserts a row below.
Delete 1 Column(s) Deletes this column.
Delete 1 Row(s) Deletes this row.
Merge Cells Merges the selected table cells.
