About Software Connection

By default, a software connection is a link between two ports, which exchange the same interface.

If a configuration of connection rules has been defined by an Administrator through matrices, connections can be heterogeneous and follow these matrices describing the set of allowed connections.

Two types of connections can be established:

  • Delegation connection: A connection between a parent software component and a software instance that it contains.
  • Assembly connection: A connection between two software components contained in a parent software component. Most of the time, assembly connections are named connections.
