Editing Virtual Link Path Constraints

You can edit the timing constraints like maximum acceptable jitter and latency, of a virtual link path.

Note: With the Avionics Architect (AVARA) role, you can work with Ethernet networks for Avionics.

The scenario describes how to edit a private virtual link. The scenario is identical for a shared virtual link.

Before you begin: Create a private or a shared virtual link. For more information, see Creating Virtual Links.

  1. Right-click a virtual link from the Virtual Links folder in the tree and select Edit Virtual Link Path Constraints.

    Notes:
    • For a shared virtual link, right-click a shared virtual link and select Edit Shared Virtual Link Path Constraints.

    • You can also edit the constraints from the virtual links editor. For more information, see Editing Virtual Links.

The Edit Virtual Link Path Constraints dialog box appears, which lists the maximum jitter and latency values for each exit component of the virtual link.
  2. Modify the values in the fields under the Max jitter and Max latency columns.
