Generating a Conductor Routing Report

You can use the Conductor Routing Assistant to generate a report which provides additional information about the route status of the conductors as well as comments on the success or failure of your routing.

The detailed view provided by the report enables you to:

  • Analyze the routing
  • Define new routes taking into account your constrains and the available routing possibilities

Important:
  • This report provides information only for conductors managed with the Conductor Routing Assistant.
  • This report displays only the very last actions performed on conductors.

Before you begin: Launch the Conductor Routing Assistant.

About Conductor Routing Assistant
  1. From the Conductor Routing Assistant panel, click Generate conductor routing report .
An .xls file is generated. It contains two worksheets : Conductors and Segments.
  2. Select the Conductors worksheet to display information about the conductors and their route.
    The following information is available:
    • Identifier: identifies the corresponding row for a conductor or a conductor group in the sheet.
    • Name: corresponds to the name of a conductor or conductor group.
    • Route Status: status can be "Routed", "Not routed", or "Broken".
    • From end and To end: indicates each end of a conductor.
    • Electrical System: indicates the electrical physical system to which a conductor or conductor group belongs.
    • Separation Code: indicates the separation code of a conductor.
    • External diameter: indicates the external diameter of a conductor.
    • Bend radius: indicates the bend radius of a conductor.
    • Route segments: indicates the segments used in a conductor route.

Note: Information about segments being fully or partially used is not provided in the report.

If the Compute alternate path based on 'EWR_ValidateSegmentInConductorRoute' result option is selected, failed routes are also displayed. For more information, see Conductor Routing.

    • Route segments length: accumulates the lengths of the segments used in a conductor route.

If the Compute alternate path based on 'EWR_ValidateSegmentInConductorRoute' result option is selected, routed segments lengths for failed routes are also displayed. For more information, see Conductor Routing.

    • Comment on route's SUCCESS/FAILURE: provides feedback on a routing outcome.
  3. Select the Segments worksheet to display information about segments.
    The following information is available:
    • Identifier: identifies the corresponding row for a segment in the sheet.
    • Electrical branch geometry: indicates the electrical branch geometry to which a segment belongs.
    • Branch: indicates the branch to which a segment belongs.
    • Name: corresponds to the name of a segment.
    • Filling ratio: indicates the filling ratio of a segment in percentage.

If the Diameter and bend radius to its content option is not selected, a "Not Applicable" message is displayed in the column. For more information, see Impact on Segment.

    • Separation code: indicates the separation code of a segment.
    • Passing conductors: indicates the conductors currently passing through a segment.
    • Possible conductors: indicates the conductors that could pass trough a segment. This information reveals the segments which are subjects to restrictions or constraints.
    • Diameter: indicates the diameter of a segment.
  4. Use the filtering arrows to sort the provided information according to your needs.
