Key conditions
Behaviors or conditions specific to flexible objects are considered to simulate the response of such objects.
- Instances and references
- Only one instance for each reference of the product that contains a flexible object can be included in the simulation. For branches, as the absolute positions need to be retrieved at each step of the simulation, only the first instance is accounted for during simulation. The result is not relevant if there is more than one electrical branch geometry instanced under the same reference.
- Simulation and flexible objects
- An electrical branch geometry containing flexible objects can be involved in a simulation. However, all the branches within the electrical branch geometry must be simulated to avoid any inconsistencies.
- Probes used with flexible objects
- Probes, including speed and acceleration, measure, and interferences/clash management defined to simulate flexible bodies are not supported in a scenario with flexible objects.
- Viewing the simulation results (Results of scenario)
- For a scenario with flexible objects, the snapshot, slide, geometric trace, swept volume and animation export commands are not supported. Only X-Y Plot can display the recorded parameters for flexible objects. The only parameter you can access in the simulation result is the length of the branch.
