Creating Proxy Branch Points

A proxy branch point is a point lying on a branch curve that enables to connect a primary branch with a secondary branch.

Note: It is possible to add proxy branch points to connect branches belonging to the same electrical branch geometry.

Edit a Proxy Branch Point
  1. In the work area, select a secondary branch, and then click Immersive Branch Definition from the Branch section of the action bar.
    The Auto Routing Mode is activated and yellow bullets appear on route elements.

  2. Press Shift and hover over the primary branch.
    The following icon represents the proxy branch point to be created: .

  3. Click the curve to position the proxy branch point.
  4. On the context toolbar, click Exit Branch Point Edition or click in the 3D area to validate.

The proxy branch point is added to the route of the secondary branch and the two branches are connected.

Tip: You can expose a method on a segment where proxy branch points are positioned. This allows you to:
  • Retrieve the position of the proxy branch points
  • Retrieve the position of the device distant links
