Excluding Route Elements

You can determine if a route element is part of a branch route or not.

The following scenario describes how to exclude a passing point from a branch route. The scenario is identical for devices and supports.

Important: Set/Unset as imposed Point is only supported by branches designed using the FLEX algorithm.

Before you begin:
  • Activate an electrical branch geometry, and then select a branch in the work area.
  • From the Branch section of the action bar, click Immersive Branch Definition .

The Auto Routing Mode is activated and yellow bullets appear on route elements.

  1. In the 3D area, click the yellow bullet representing the passing point you want to exclude.
The Manual Routing Mode is activated and a new context toolbar appears.

  2. Click Set/Unset as imposed Point .
    In the 3D area:
    • The yellow bullet turns pink: the passing point is no more imposed in the branch route.
    • The design of the branch is updated accordingly.

Tip: Select the passing point and click Set/Unset as imposed Point again to add it back to the branch route.
  3. To cancel your manipulations, press Escape or close the Branch Properties panel.
  4. To validate your manipulations, click in the 3D area or press Enter.

Note: The Set/Unset as imposed Point command can be combined with the Obstacles command to edit the design of a branch route. For more information, see Associating Obstacles to an Electrical Branch Geometry.
