Removing Route Elements

You can edit your model by removing several elements from a branch route.

Note: When removing a passing point, the element is removed from the route but the geometrical point is not deleted by default. To delete geometrical points while removing passing points, use the Unused Point Deletion option.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • Activate an electrical branch geometry, and then select a branch in the work area.
  • From the Branch section of the action bar, click Immersive Branch Definition .

    The Auto Routing Mode is activated and yellow bullets appear on route elements.

Remove with the Removal Mode

You can remove on the fly one or several route elements.

  1. In the context toolbar, hover over Auto Routing Mode and click Removal Mode .


  2. In the 3D area, click one or several yellow bullets to remove one or multiple route elements.

    Tip: You can also click a branch point. In this case, the Remove Branch Point dialog box appears to let you select which segment to keep.

    The branch route is updated accordingly.

  3. To cancel your manipulations, press Escape or close the Branch Properties panel.
  4. To validate your manipulations, click in the 3D area or press Enter.

Remove with the Manual Routing Mode

You can remove an element from a branch route.

This task describes how to remove a device from a branch route. The scenario is identical for all route elements.

  1. In the 3D area, click a yellow bullet to select a route element (a device in our example).
    • The Manual Routing Mode is activated.
    • The Robot is snapped onto the selected element.


  2. In the context toolbar, click Remove from route .
    The branch route is updated accordingly.

  3. To cancel your manipulations, press Escape or close the Branch Properties panel.
  4. To validate your manipulations, click in the 3D area or press Enter.
