Creating Contact Representations

You can create the necessary representations under the contact component:

Before you begin:

Create Wiring Contact Symbol

Double-click the symbol object.
The symbol object is edited in the Symbol Design app.
Draw the wiring contact representation.
Create a connection point and map it to one of the logical component ports.
Repeat Step 3 to create and map other connection points.
From the Symbol Edition section of the action bar, Click Exit App .
Right-click the contact symbol and select Symbol Properties.
In the Define Symbol Properties dialog box, select the wiring option.

Double-click the symbol object.
The symbol object is edited in the Symbol Design app.
Draw electrotechnical contact representation.
Create a connection point and map it to one of the logical component ports.
Optional: Add a text template on a connection point pointing to:
- A Logical Pin attribute (Electrical Logical package)
- Frame coordinates attribute (Schematic Design package)
- A Logical Relay attribute (Electrical Logical package)
Repeat Steps 3 to 4 to create and map other connection points.
From the Symbol Edition section of the action bar, Click Exit App .
Right-click the contact symbol and select Symbol Properties.
In the Define Symbol Properties dialog box, select the electrotechnical option.
Double-click the symbol object.
The symbol object is edited in the Symbol Design app.
From the Symbol Edition section, click Add New Symbol .
In the New Symbol panel, enter a name for the electrotechnical contact representation and click .
Repeat Steps 2 to 5 to create the electrotechnical contact representation used in the contacts grid.
From the Symbol Edition section of the action bar, Click Exit App .
Right-click a contact symbol and select Symbol Properties.
In the Define Symbol Properties dialog box, select the grid option.
