MEP Locations

The MEP Locations page lists the locations associated with the MEP. A location can be any organization or subtype of organization, including company, business unit, department, plant, etc. Users with the roles Senior Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Component Engineer can edit the status and preference of the listed locations.

To access this page, open a manufacturer equivalent part Properties page and click the Locations category, Equivalents page, or AVL report.

Columns

Column Description
Name The title of the location specified when it was created.
Type The type of locations, for example, Headquarters, Manufacturing, Sales.
City, Location, Postal Code, Country The address of the location.
Status Indicates whether the location has been approved to allocate the part in support of production: Required, Authorized, or Not Authorized.
Preference Indicates whether the location is Preferred or Not Preferred.

Add Existing Add a location to the list. Search for objects in the database. -
Enable Edit Edit the status and preference for the location. -
Set Preferred Set the selected location as the preferred location for the MEP. -
Remove Remove the association between the selected locations and the MEP. -
