Tracks Linked to Moved Operations

When you drag and drop operations (or systems) from one system to another system, all tracks referencing the moved operations are kept. The operation drag and drop must be done in the Process Planning app.

Creating a Track on Items Implemented by an Operation

Several cases of operation drag and drop are supported:

  • The operation has one track for all the implemented items. In this case the track is not linked to another operation. At operation drag and drop, the track is still defined for all the implemented items.
  • The operation has multiple tracks that move some of the implemented items. In this case the track is not linked to another operation. At operation drag and drop, the tracks are still defined for the identified implemented items.
  • The operation has a track that moves the item implemented by a previous operation. In this case a link exists between the track and the previous operation. The operation owning the track is moved.

When a previous operation is moved by a drag and drop, all tracks referencing it are kept. The track of the operation moves the items that are implemented by the previous operation.

When a system is dragged and dropped to another system, all the operation occurrences of the dropped system are modified. For these operations, the impacted tracks are found and the links are restored with the new occurrences. The matching criteria between the old occurrence and the new occurrence is the instance of the operation.
