Displaying the Edit Component Parameters Dialog Box

To be able to work with component parameters, you can display the Component Parameters Edition dialog box of any component in a Dymola behavior.

Notes:
  • Immersive dockable panels displaying Dymola behaviors are only reflecting the changed values during execution of the model.
  • For more information about the Component Parameters Edition dialog box, see Dymola Behavior Modeling User's Guide: Reference Information: Dialog Boxes: Component Parameters Edition Dialog Box.

  1. To display the Component Parameters Edition dialog box for top level parameters in a Dymola behavior, do the following, in Edit mode:
    1. Select the Dymola behavior in the tree, click for example Main Model.

      Tip: You can also do the following to select the Dymola behavior:
      1. In the 2D graph, click the behavior list icon in the lower right of the functional or logical component where the behavior is located, to display the behavior names.
      2. Click the name of the Dymola behavior you want to work with.

    2. From the Behaviors section of the action bar, click Edit Component Parameters .
      The Component Parameters Edition dialog box appears.
  2. To display the Component Parameters Edition dialog box for parameters inside a Dymola behavior, do the following:
    1. To see the structure of the behavior, show the behavior in an immersive window.

      You can do this in several ways:

      The structure of the behavior is displayed in an immersive dockable panel.
    2. Navigate in the panel to display the component that you want to edit values on.

      • Double-click a component to display the content of the component.
      • Double-click in the panel, outside the components, to display the upper level.

    3. Select one or several components for which you want to edit the values.
    4. In the context toolbar, click Edit the parameters of the selected component .

      You can also click Edit Component Parameters from the action bar.

      The Component Parameters Edition dialog box for the component appears. In case of multiselection, the Component Parameters Edition dialog box displays the parameters for all the selected instances.
