Displaying the Diagram View of a Modelica Class in an Immersive Dockable Panel

You can display Modelica classes in 2D immersive dockable panels.

Before you begin: Display a Signal Monitor window. See Working with the Signal Monitor.
  1. In the Name column of the Signal Monitor window, navigate to display a class.
  2. Double-click the Modelica class icon for the class.
The class appears in an immersive dockable panel, with the following features:
    • If the class supports animation, the content of the 2D panel is also animated.
    • If the class contains objects that could be interacted with, you can interact with them when simulating. You can, for example, start a motor.
    • You can overload parameter values for objects in the panel of a Dymola behavior. See Editing Parameter Values in Dymola Behaviors.
    • Several immersive dockable panels can be displayed at the same time, and are animated simultaneously.
Note: Simulation mode is left when displaying the panel.
Tip: You can also display immersive dockable panels by the context menu of Modelica behaviors, however not in simulation mode. See Displaying a Dymola Behavior or a Context Behavior in an Immersive Dockable Panel.
  3. You can navigate in the panel:
    • Double-click a component to display the content of the component.
    • Double-click in the panel, outside components, to display the upper level.
