Using the Display Only Parents Option to Retrieve a Creation Context
  1. From the Refine section of the action bar, click Draft Reflect Line, Local Modifier .
The Draft.x dialog box appears. The arrow indicates the default pulling direction.
Note: You can right-click the Pulling Direction box and select any contextual command to create pulling directions.

If you create any element using these commands, the app displays the corresponding icon next to the Pulling Direction box. Clicking this icon enables you to edit the element.

Important: Two draft from reflect lines capabilities are available in Functional Plastic Parts:
    • Draft Reflect Line, Local Modifier lets you add drafts from reflect lines on features intrinsically. Because of its robustness it can be used more often. You can also add drafts from reflect lines as feature modifiers.
    • Part Design Draft Reflect Line lets you add drafts from reflect lines on functional solids. It is recommended to use it after the 3D shape is almost complete.
  2. Select the element to be drafted
The app detects one reflect line and displays it in pink. This line is used to support the drafted faces.

Tip: The icon available after the Faces to draft box lets you edit the list of the faces to be drafted. For more information about that capability, see Part Design User's Guide: Editing a List of Elements .
  3. Enter an angle value in the Angle box.
    The reflect line moves accordingly.
  4. Click Preview.

  5. Click More to expand the dialog box.
  6. Check the Parting element option and select a plane as the parting element.
Important: The Limiting Element(s) option limits the face to be drafted by selecting one or more faces or planes that intersect it completely. To know how to use this option, see Part Design User's Guide: Creating Basic Draft Features.
  7. Click OK.
