Context Toolbars

Context toolbars are smart toolbars that contain only the commands that you can apply to the current selection.

Bundles and Fastener Instances

The following contextual commands are available when a bundle or fastener instances are selected.

View Stacking
Highlights the stacked parts of a bundle in the 3D area.
Puts all the other parts in transparent.

The pilot part is highlighted in green. The remaining parts are highlighted in cyan blue.

Notes:
  • The object you select must be a bundle, or fastener instances of the bundle.
  • If you select multiple fasteners, these must belong to the same bundle.

Modify Bundle
Modifies, deletes or resets the stacking of the selected bundle.

Run an automatic stacking computation to confirm that all the fasteners have a correct stacking, or update the stacking accordingly.

Modify Bundle
Edits the bundle grouping the fasteners. The object you select must be a fastener instance of the bundle. If you select multiple fasteners, these must belong to the same bundle.

Positioning Analysis
Performs a positioning analysis to help you reposition the selected fasteners.

Create Spot Fastener
Creates spot fasteners.

Create Bead Fastener
Creates bead fasteners.
See Instantiating Bead Fasteners.
Modify Spot or Bead Fasteners
Modifes the selected spot or bead fastener. Allows to modify fastener location, stack parts.

Optionally, select Use Smart Projection in the Preferences dialog box.

Delete Spot or Bead Fastener
Available when one or more fastener instances are selected. Deletes spot or bead fastener references.


Modify Fastener Reference
Modifies fastener reference properties such as the reference fastener type, classification, and shape definition properties.

Instantiation

Create Spot Fastener
Creates spot fasteners.

Create Bead Fastener
Creates bead fasteners.

Modify Spot or Bead Fasteners
Modifes the selected spot or bead fastener. Allows to modify fastener location, stack parts.

Optionally, select Use Smart Projection in the Preferences dialog box.

Fastener Edition
Edits a fastener instance.

Preview

Select Fasteners
Selects other fasteners belonging to the same stacking. This action is available only if one fastener preview is selected.
Delete Spot or Bead Fasteners
Deletes selected spot or bead fasteners.
This command deletes selected spot or bead fasteners.
Remove Fasteners
Removes selected fasteners.
Invert Direction
Inverts the direction of the selected fasteners.
Select Surface
Lets you manually select the support surface to define the normal of the fastener.
Direction Coordinates
Changes the direction coordinates of selected fasteners. This action is available only if one fastener preview is selected. To exit the dialog box, click in empty space.
Position Coordinates
Changes the position coordinates of selected fasteners. This action is available only if one fastener preview is selected. To exit the dialog box, click in empty space.
