Modifying Bundles by Using Autostacking

You can use Modify Bundle and Autostacking to quickly modify a stacking.

  1. In the tree, right-click the bundle you want to modify, and select Modify Bundle .
  2. Click Autostacking.
  3. Depending on whether the app finds one or more stackings, proceed as follows:

    • If the app finds only one single stacking group, click Replace Stacking , and click Apply.
    • If the app finds several stackings, for each stacking group, you can click Replace Stacking , and Apply Stacking.
      1. To specify the bundle location, select either of the following options:
        Common father node The bundle is searched under the father common to the stacked parts. If the bundle is not found, a new bundle is created under the father common to the stacked parts.
        Active product The bundle is searched under the current active product. If the bundle is not found, a new bundle is created under the active product.
      2. To search for a bundle, select either of the following options:
        Search bundle in session The bundle is searched under the selected bundle location in session. If multiple bundles are found, you can select the bundle you need from the list.
        Search bundle in database The bundle is searched in the database. If multiple bundles are found, you can select the bundle you need.
      3. In the Apply Stacking dialog box, click OK to validate. The bundle location and the searched bundle are stored in the respective stacking groups.
      4. In the Autostacking results dialog box, click Apply to open the Bundle Edition dialog box. Empty stacking groups are replaced with autostacking result groups.
      5. In the Bundle Edition dialog box, click OK.
      6. For stacking groups for which Apply Stacking is applied: select an effectivity, split fasteners of respective stacking groups and move these fasteners to the target bundle. The moved fastener's surface is recomputed if the pilot part is changed. In case of a non-configuration scenario, move the fasteners from the current bundle to the target bundle. For stacking groups for which Replace Stacking is applied, the bundle stacking is replaced with the new stacking group.
