Manufacturing Plan Matrix

The Manufacturing Plan Matrix organizes all the manufacturing plans defined for the model version and shows any sub-model versions or low-level manufacturing plans that are not resolved to a plan.

Before a manufacturing plan can be promoted to the Released state, each model version revision must have a manufacturing plan defined.

If the design effectivity matrix for a model version is updated after a manufacturing plan is defined for it, that manufacturing plan must be manually updated to reflect those changes. Currently, there is no synchronization available between design and manufacturing effectivity.

To access this page:

  1. Access the list of manufacturing plans for a model version or model. For details, see Manufacturing Plans Page.
  2. For a model, select the required model version.
  3. From the page toolbar, select Reports > Manufacturing Plan Matrix.

The Manufacturing Plan Matrix page opens with a column for each manufacturing plan defined for the model version. If one or more manufacturing plans was selected in the manufacturing plans page before clicking the command, only those plans are shown.

Column NameDescription
NameThe root node shows the model version and the second level shows each model version in the logical structure.
For each manufacturing plan, the matrix includes this set of columns:
Planned ForThe model version revision included in the manufacturing plan.

This column follows these rules:

  • A value is not shown for the root node.
  • If the root model version only manages one model version derivation, then that derivation is shown.
  • If the model version manages more than one sub-model version, then the model version resolved by the manufacturing plan selected in the Manufacturing Plan column is shown.
  • If a manufacturing plan is not selected in the Manufacturing Plan column and the model version cannot be resolved, then the value "Undefined" is shown.
  • If a manufacturing plan is selected in the Manufacturing Plan column but the model version cannot be resolved because more than one is available, then the value "Undefined" is shown.
  • If the model version referenced by the manufacturing plan is no longer included in the model version's logical structure, an icon with a red exclamation point is shown in the column. This means the design effectivity matrix for the model version was updated after the manufacturing plan breakdown was defined for the model version. Hover over the icon to view a description of the conflict.

Check Indicates the completeness of the manufacturing plan definition.

Manufacturing PlanThe manufacturing plan selected for the model version revision.

This column follows these rules:

  • The high-level manufacturing plan for the model version is shown for the root node.
  • If a manufacturing plan is not selected, then the value "Undefined" is displayed.
