Modifying a Breakout View

You can modify a breakout view, through the modification of its profile and then its depth.

Before you begin: Open a generative drawing containing a breakout view to modify.

  1. In the tree, under the view you want to modify, expand the View Specifications node and double-click Breakout.n.
    The view switches to modification mode. A frame appears, symbolizing the clipping area.
  2. You can now modify the profile of the breakout according to your design's needs.
    • To move the profile, use the dotted lines.
    • To resize the profile, drag the white handles.
    • To manipulate the profile, drag the various yellow handles.
    The clipping frame is modified accordingly.

  3. Once done, click in the sheet.
  4. In the 3D viewer, modify the depth of the breakout. For more information about using the 3D viewer, see Creating a Breakout View.
  5. Once done, click OK.
