Aligning and Distributing 2D Panels

You can align and distribute 2D images and texts horizontally or vertically.


Before you begin: Aligning panels makes them move to a single alignment axis and changes the alignment property.

Panel Properties
  1. Click a panel, press Ctrl, and then click two or more panels.

    Important:
    • Alignment commands are available only when at least two panels are selected.
    • Distribution commands are available when at least three panels are selected.

  2. From the Transform section of the action bar, click the appropriate alignment command.
    CommandDescription
    Align Left Horizontally aligns all selected panels to the farthest left panel.
    Align Center Horizontally aligns all selected panels to the center of the farthest left panel and of the farthest right panel.
    Align Right Horizontally aligns all selected panels to the farthest right panel.
    Align Top Horizontally aligns all selected panels to the topmost panel.
    Align Middle Vertically aligns all selected panels to the middle of the topmost panel and of the bottommost panel.
    Align Bottom Vertically aligns all selected panels to the bottommost panel.
    Distribute Horizontally Horizontally distributes all selected panels (from the first selected panel to the last selected one) between the topmost and bottommost panel so that the horizontal space between them is equal.
    Distribute Vertically Vertically distributes all selected panels (from the first selected panel to the last selected one) between the topmost and bottommost panel so that the vertical space between them is equal.
    Below is an example for the horizontal distribution.
